Design on Q is an award winning graphic design & illustration agency, founded and directed by Katherine (Kat) Quin Merewether. Kat started out in 2002 as a freelancing graphic designer and illustrator. The first of her large projects, beginning in 2002, included illustrating material for the Te Wananga o Aotearoa, Te Ara Reo, Mahi Ora and Mauri Ora programmes. Today she employs a team of talented illustrators and designers specialising in digital illustration, marketing, branding, project management and development.

Children’s book illustration is the icing on the cake for Kat. This year her 15th published, fully illustrated children’s book is due to be launched. Her most recent book ‘Kuwi’s First Egg’ was both written and Illustrated by Kat, and has been published by her sister company Illustrated Publishing.

Design on Q delivers a wide range of illustration work for many private organisations and publications, designing and typesetting books and journals, creating logos and designing full corporate and franchise branding for businesses locally and nationally.
